June 2018 expenses

June is done and has left mercury raising. Half an year is gone with Dow having the worst semi-annual performance since 2010. How was it in RF household. Lets take a look.

Food :  Groceries ran up to 620 and eating out was at 61 for a dinner with extended family. Among the grocery stores, WFM got the biggest share at 220, Sprouts spend was 168 and Costco took 127. A surprise was the 7 dollars spent at Lucky. It was a revelation to find some organic produce at competitive prices there.
House : Housing expenses were 309. Not having to spend for water softener salt saved close to 100.
Utilities : This tab was 435. Phone, Internet and security were same as usual. Water bill was 176 for past two months. Looks like the water companies have started charging more to get ready for their acquisition fights.
Automobile : This was the biggest ticket at 1190. Gas was not much different from last time. Huge chunk went for brakes and 12V battery on two different cars along with their regular service.
Clothing : Nada. Mrs.RF is yet to start summer innings.
Personal care :  This category ran to 124 dollars. Most of it was for Mrs.RF getting ready for summer.
Donation and gifts : Nothing on this front, this month.
Travel : This category included the expenses for our summer trip to midwest. The total here was 421.26. It was made up of bus and train tickets, food during our visit to national parks in Ohio and Kentucky. This included a trip to meet Charlie Brown and his favorite race horses in Georgetown.
You can meet Mr.Charlie Brown and his friendly horses at  Old Friends in Georgetown, KY (http://www.oldfriendsequine.org/about-us.html)
